Michael T. Horvath
StratBridge Responsibilities: Strategic Alliances, Board of Directors
Michael Horvath leads Strategic Alliances at StratBridge, managing relationships with partners, channels, and large customers. Prof. Horvath also sits on the Board of StratBridge. Prof. Horvath brings extensive entrepreneurial experience to StratBridge.
Prior to StratBridge, Prof. Horvath was chief financial officer and vice president of operations at GlycoFi, Inc., a venture-backed biotechnology company.
Prior to GlycoFi, Prof. Horvath was an associate professor at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and the Research Director of the Center for Private Equity and Entrepreneurship at Dartmouth. At Tuck, Prof. Horvath was engaged in the study of the effects of venture capital, entrepreneurship, and innovation and taught electives on high-tech entrepreneurship and venture capital.
Before joing the faculty at Dartmouth, Prof. Horvath founded Kana Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: KANA), a leading provider of web-architected enterprise relationship management solutions. He served as Kana’s CFO and VP of Operations from 1996-1998 and as a special consultant to the company from 1998-2000.
Previous to Kana, Prof. Horvath was on the faculty at Stanford University, where he taught macroeconomics.
Prof. Horvath received a PhD in economics from Northwestern University, and a BA in economics from Harvard University. [Top]
Thomas L. Doorley, III
StratBridge Responsibilities: Board of Directors (Strategy and Growth)
Mr. Doorley is Chairman and CEO of Sage Partners, a firm focused on meeting the strategic and leadership needs of established and emerging companies.
Prior to Sage, Mr. Doorley was a co-founder of Braxton Associates (now embedded in Deloitte, Touche, Tohmatsu as its global strategy practice with $400 million in revenue and 1,000 professionals). Mr. Doorley successfully led Braxton through its formation, globalization, and value-creating merger into Deloitte. During his years as a Senior Partner at Braxton and Deloitte, Mr. Doorley brought deep experience to the issues around corporate vision and strategy.
Mr. Doorley is an extensive speaker and writer. He has been the keynote speaker for The Conference Board, the CEO Institute, the Fast 500 CEO seminars, the World Economic Forum, and countless client-sponsored leadership programs, including for GE and Northrop Grumman. His articles have appeared widely, including in the Wall Street Journal, Harvard Business Review, Worldlink, and the Sloan Management Review.
Mr. Doorley holds an MBA with Highest Honors from Columbia University, where he was named the outstanding graduate in marketing by the American Marketing Association. He also holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and a B.A. in Arts and Sciences from The Pennsylvania State University. [Top]
Anthony J. Marolda
StratBridge Responsibilities: Board of Directors (Strategy and Planning)
Mr. Marolda is the founder and President of The Winbridge Group. His firm, founded in 1986, specializes in corporate development engagements.
Mr. Marolda has been a professional management consultant for thirty years and his direct experience in this field includes working with numerous U.S and international clients to develop corporate and business unit strategies, identify and acquire strategic acquisitions, and divest products or technologies that no longer fit the corporate goals of his clients.
Mr. Marolda has been quoted on corporate development issues in many business periodicals, such as The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Business Week and U.S. News and World Reports. In addition to authoring many articles, Mr. Marolda has contributed chapters on diversification, mergers and acquisitions in books including The Handbook of Modern Marketing from McGraw-Hill, The Handbook of Business Problem Solving from McGraw-Hill, and Regional Resilience and Defense Conversion from JAI Press.
Prior to founding The Winbridge Group, Mr. Marolda was a management consultant for 15 years with Arthur D. Little, Inc, where he was Senior Vice President and Managing Director of the Management Counseling Section and founded the Corporate Development Counseling unit.
Previous to attending Business School, Mr. Marolda worked several years as an R&D physicist.
Mr. Marolda has an M.B.A. from Harvard University and B.S. and M.S. degrees in physics from Northeastern University. [Top]
