StratBridge and Tickets.com to help entertainment venues ‘fill the house’ with integrated ticket sales and analysis
Partnership enables concert halls, pro sports teams, and other organizations to increase ticket sales and boost revenues
BOSTON, July 25, 2007 — StratBridge today announced it has partnered with Tickets.com to provide live entertainment organizations such as professional sports teams and concert halls with an integrated system to maximize ticket revenues and increase sales. The business-to-business ticketing solutions from Tickets.com combined with StratBridge’s StratTix ticket analysis software will give venue managers the information and tools they need to grow profits for every game, concert, exhibit or other event.
California-based Tickets.com is a one-stop shop for organizations that want to sell tickets online or via retail outlets, kiosks, call centers or interactive voice response systems. Its customers include thousands of entertainment venues around the world, including facilities that host everything from rock concerts to modern dance and wrestling, as well as professional sports organizations such as NASCAR, Major League Baseball and National Hockey League teams. Tickets.com’s automated ticketing systems give organizations a variety of options for selling tickets and reaching more customers. Integrating Tickets.com’s sales systems with StratTix will ensure managers have valuable information about sold and available seating so they can develop effective promotions to fill venues prior to events.
“Tickets.com delivers a powerful system that helps us provide many ways for customers to purchase tickets,” said Dallas Stars Senior Vice President of Ticket Sales Colin Faulkner. “Integrating that ticket purchase information with StratTix will give us a dynamic view of our ticket sales – what the trends, patterns and outliers are – so we can better price tickets, project sales, and market to our customers and ultimately continue to grow revenues.”
Ticket sales information from Tickets.com feeds into StratTix, which displays the data for venue sales teams to review. StratTix delivers a graphical representation of the venue that allows sales teams to gain “facility-level” down to “seat-level” understanding of ticket sales so they can:
see previously hidden ticket purchase patterns and trends within one event, a series of events or an entire season;
track the impact marketing campaigns such as advertising, promotions and direct mail have on sales;
monitor effects of price changes on sales both visually and quantitatively.
“In an effort to provide advanced technology to venue managers, whose primary concern is to fill the house for every event, this integrated approach simplifies that process,” said Tickets.com CEO Larry Witherspoon. “Now they will be able to react better to their fans or patrons buying trends.”
The integrated solution will enable organizations like the Dallas Stars to improve the entire ticket holder experience, including ticket sales and souvenir purchases during the event, to increase customer satisfaction and ensure these attendees return.
“Selling tickets has evolved from a one-dimensional transaction to a science, and live entertainment organizations need to capitalize on every opportunity to stay competitive,” said StratBridge Founder and CEO Matt Marolda. “Combining effective, multifaceted ticketing solutions with in-depth analysis enables these organizations to see every opportunity and trend and take advantage of it to maximize sales.”
